58 more trainee SIs dismissed
58 more sub-inspectors (SIs) undergoing training at the Police Academy in Sardah, Rajshahi, have been dismissed for breaking discipline.
Police Headquarters AIG (Media and PR) Enamul Haque Sagar confirmed this information on Monday (November 4).
It is learned that 59 sub-inspectors (SIs) undergoing training were show-caused last October. They were given this notice for creating chaos by sitting randomly and making noise in the training class.
On October 21, 10 people were show-caused in a letter signed by Police Superintendent (Admin and Logistics) Tarek Bin Rashid on behalf of the Principal of the Police Academy, and 49 people were show-caused in another letter on October 24.
Earlier, 252 SIs were dismissed for the same reason on October 22.
Incidentally, 823 people were finalized for appointment as SIs in 2023 and sent to the Police Academy for training. They were scheduled to be commissioned this month after completing their training as cadets of the 40th batch.
