Rizvi said, I want to say that the statement made by an adviser on reforms yesterday (Friday) is wrong. The adviser's statement is wrong and misleading.

He said, all reforms around the world have been implemented through politicians. He said, all reforms have been made in parliament. Politicians have made reforms worldwide, including in Britain and America.

He also said that exaggerating the issue of reforms and blaming politicians is a sign of ignorance about history.

Stating that reforms are an ongoing process, Rizvi said that reforms are carried out in line with the changing needs of society in every country and era. He said that irregularities in society cannot be eliminated in a day. This requires cooperation at all levels.

The BNP leader reiterated that his party is cooperating with the interim government to ensure that the necessary reforms are completed and national elections are held within a reasonable time frame.

In response to a question, he said that the current government is now in a middle position between politics and depoliticization.

Rizvi urged everyone to be vigilant against spreading propaganda and misinformation targeting Bangladesh. He said, we are a free nation; our country is independent and sovereign. This country achieved independence through the Liberation War. Therefore, this nation will not bow to anyone's threat.

Earlier, on Friday (December 13), Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan had questioned the lack of progress in political reforms in the past few decades.
