The plaintiff's lawyer Md. Tausif Mahmud confirmed this information.

The case alleged that Evaly.com sold various products through eye-catching advertisements through its website and Facebook page. Attracted by this, Taufiq Mahmud ordered a Yamaha R15 bike from their company on March 20, 2021. He paid the price of TK. 2.45 lakh. On April 3, he ordered two more bikes of R15. He paid the price of Tk. 5.90 lakh. However, the authorities failed to deliver the three bikes within 45 days. It is also said that he later contacted the Dhanmondi office. The authorities issued two checks. However, the bank requested him not to deposit the check in the bank on the due date as there was not enough money. Believing the accused, he did not deposit the check in the bank. Later, Toufiq Mahmud kept demanding to collect Tk. 1.41 lakh. However, they did not return any money to him. Later, even after sending legal notices, nothing worked. In this incident, Toufiq Mahmud filed a case against Russell and Shamima in court on February 4 last year.
